Soft Structure

The brief

Soft Structure explores how an architecture practice might present its work with the same care it brings to physical spaces. The starting point was a familiar problem: beautiful project photography can still be difficult to navigate when every page competes for attention.

A point of view

The concept organizes the site around projects, practice and a clear route to contact. Project pages separate essential facts from the longer narrative, allowing a prospective client to understand the scope quickly and return for a closer reading. The structure supports both browsing and purposeful comparison.

The design language

The visual language borrows from architectural drawing without becoming technical. Fine rules, generous margins and a limited typographic palette establish a measured rhythm. Large images alternate with shorter passages of text so the page feels like an edited sequence rather than a continuous image feed.

From research to a system

Wireframes were tested with short and long project titles, portrait images and projects with uneven amounts of supporting material. The responsive direction gives captions their own space and keeps factual information readable before allowing photography to become more immersive.

What the concept includes

The resulting concept is a flexible editorial website system: a project index, a repeatable case-study structure and a concise practice page. The components share spacing and typography rules, while the imagery gives each project its own character.
