The brief
Open House is a concept website that introduces architecture through the experience of being inside it. The brief was to make a collection of spaces approachable to a broad audience while preserving enough detail for readers with a deeper interest in materials and design decisions.
A point of view
The content structure starts with a clear overview and then moves closer: context, a defining spatial idea, the relationship to the surroundings and the details that support everyday use. This sequence helps visitors understand why a place matters before asking them to inspect individual elements.
The design language
The visual direction uses large openings, deliberate image crops and a calm reading column. Light and dark photographs are given equal room, with short captions establishing what the reader is seeing. The interface supplies orientation and then steps back from the material.
From research to a system
The design process tested how the same page could support a compact residential story and a larger public-space feature. Responsive layouts were considered from the beginning, with attention to image proportions, legible facts and the pace of scrolling between sections.
What the concept includes
The concept results in a repeatable digital story format with shared typography, project facts and image conventions. Editors can add another space through CMS without rebuilding the page, while each entry retains its own sequence of images and narrative emphasis.
About this demo
This fictional editorial website uses stock architectural imagery. It does not claim architectural authorship, commissioned photography or a live launch. Replace the images and all project facts with material you have permission to publish, including architect and photographer credits where applicable.
